Minister of Science and Technology – H.E. Mr. Hoang Van Phong to visit Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park

On 15 February, 2011, Minister of Science and Technology – H.E. Mr. Hoang Van Phong took a working visit to Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board for checking the progress of constructing infrastructure and implementation of projects in the park.

Mr. Phong was accompanied by Vice Ministers and representatives of departments/divisions under Ministry of Science and Technology. Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, Vice Minister of Science and Technology cum Chairman of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board along with leaders of divisions and the whole of officials and employees working in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board were in participation of receiving the delegation.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Phong sent out the wishes to all leaders and employees on the occasion of Lunar New Year. Then, the delegation oversight works under construction and infrastructure in the Park.

After that, the Minister and his delegation visited factories in operation in the Park. At VIKOMED Company, they had heard reports on the activities of Company, the advantages and difficulties when VIKOMED made production activities as well as trading in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park. At the same time, the delegation saw products which are being manufactured.

At Vietnam Noble Electronics Company Limited, the delegation visited the digital camera appliance manufacturing lines.

After visiting construction sites and factories in the Park, the delegation was back to the conference room to start working session with the Management Board. At the meeting, on behalf of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board, Dr. Nguyen Van Lang warmly welcomed the Minister and his delegation to come to visit Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park and reported to them on achieved results, remained problems and targets to be obtained in 2011 as well as recommendations.

After hearing reports, the Minister asked directors of departments to further clarify remained difficulties in investment promotion and management, planning and IT examination.

In closing, the Minister highly appreciated the achievements that Management Board has gained and directed the related departments to support the Management Board to solve the proposed matters.
