H.E.Mr YOSHITO SENGOKU – Acting President of Democratic Party of Japan visited and updated the progress of ODA projects

On 26 February, the Japanese high – ranking delegation led by H.E. Mr. YOSHITO SENGOKU – Acting President of Democratic Party took a working visit to Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board to survey and update the progress of Japanese ODA projects.

Mr. YOSHITO SengoKu was accompanied by Mr. Tanizaki Yasuaki – Japanese Ambassodor to Vietnam, Mr. TSUNO Motonori – Chief Representative of Vietnam JICA office and other Japanese officials.

In participation of receiving and working with the delegation, those are Mr.Pham Dai Duong – Vice Chairman of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board, Mr. Nguyen Trung Quynh - Vice Chairman of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board, Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai – Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, leaders of Institute of Space Technology and Japanese tenants in Hoa Lac Hi-tech park.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Dai Duong updated Mr. YOSHITO Sengoku and the delegation on the development sistuation of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park as well as the progress of implementing activities to get the ODA loan from Japanese Government for developing the infrastructure of Hoa lac Hi-tech Park project. At the same time, on behalf of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board, he committed to execute the project on time and called the Japanese Government’s continual support for this project.

Besides, on behalf of the leaders of Academy of Science and Technology, Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai - Vice President expressed heartfelt gratitude about Japanese Government’s annoucement for considering progress of ODA loan for Space Center project at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park. The construction of Space Centre will facilitate disaster warning information systems against the climate change in Vietnam which uses earth observation satellites to operate more efficiently.

Mr. Yoshito Sengoku expressed strong impression on the results that Hoa Lac Hi- tech Park has made in building and developing the park. At the same time, he pledged to report and propose to the Japanese government about promoting the review of ODA capital disbursement of the Japanese government for projects in Vietnam in general and in Hoa Lac Hi – tech Park in particular.

After the meeting, Mr. Yoshito Sengoku and his delegation visited the infrastructural works in the park, the Space Center Project and other projects by Japanese investors.
