Việt Nam’s GDP is expected to surge by 7.2% in the 2011-15 period following robust growth in consumption, investment and export, according to the latest report released by the UK-based Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

The UK magazine said that better labor market and higher real incomes will help boost individual consumption rate in Việt Nam.

Rising demand for Vietnamese goods and improved global economic conditions are expected to strengthen the country’s production.

The inflows of overseas remittance will still be high. In addition, financial service sector will provide more available credit services for individual consumption.

The EIU also said that foreign investors are relatively upbeat about the business environment in Việt Nam despite some recent setbacks.

The UK magazine forecasted that export increase would serve to raise real GDP growth in Việt Nam in the next five-year period following strong demands from importing countries like the US, China, and the EU.
