Foreign Affairs Minister of Ecuador visited HHTP

At the invitation of Vietnamese Foreign Affairs Minister, H.E. Mr. Ricardo Patiño Aroca, Foreign Affairs Minister of Ecuador officially visited Viet Nam from 21st to 25th June, 2013. In the framework of the visit, after having a working session with Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, H.E. Mr. Nghiem Vu Khai on 25th of June, H.E. Mr. Ricardo Patiño Aroca and the Ecuadorean delegation visited HHTP to exchange views and experience in managing hi-tech zones. Mr. Nguyen Trung Quynh, the Vice Chairman of HHTP Management Board, hosted the delegation.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trung Quynh presented with the delegation about overall information, the advantages and obstacles of HHTP during the development process. Mr. Aroca mentioned that Ecuador is also developing a national project, named Yachay Knowledge City, which shared a lot of similarities with HHTP. The center of Yachay is Experimental Scientific University which focuses on Life Sciences, Information Technology and Communications, Renewable Energy and Climate Changes, Petrochemical and Nano Science. Mr. Ricardo suggested the two science parks should keep contact to exchange information and share experience during their development.

After the meeting, the Ecuadorean delegation had a site visit to some projects in operation and under construction in HHTP.
