Finnish expert group assess and build up Phase 2 for IPP project

On May 31st, 2013, within the framework of the working visit in Vietnam for assessing and building up frame of Phase 2 of Innovation Partnership Program (IPP) between Vietnam and Finland, Finnish expert group had a working session with the Hoa Lac high-tech Park (HHTP) Management Board.


IPP is financed jointly by Governments of Vietnam and Finland, which aims to strengthen the National Innovation System (NIS) of Vietnam. IPP is in its first phase (2009-2013). The expert group of IPP would have some working sessions with the agencies under Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam from May 26th to June 8th, 2013.
At the meeting, Mr Nguyen Trung Quynh, Vice Chairman of HHTP briefly presented to the delegation the general situation of HHTP, the advantages, incentives that tenants will be received when investing in the Park. Then Mr. Quynh expressed his desire to learn more about the phase 2 of the project.


Mr. Heikki K. Auvinen, group leader, presented to the Management Board all activities of the program. He especially focused on information and telecommunication technology fields, activities of business incubation in Vietnam, in general, and HHTP, in particular. He also highly appreciated the role of HHTP in the development of science and technology in Vietnam, openly shared about technology enterprises in Finland, such as Nokia Corporation.


At the end of working session, Vice Chairman Nguyen Trung Quynh expressed his thankfulness and highly appreciated the working visit of the IPP expert group, and also hoped phase 2 of the Project will get further success in enhancing innovation in enterprises, government organizations and knowledge training and research centre in Vietnam, as well as Hoa Lac high-tech Park.
