THE VNNIC STATION INAUGURATED IN HOA LAC HI-TECH PARK
On May 4, 2012, the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) under the Ministry of Information and Communication inaugurated their station in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. Attending the ceremony were Dr. Le Doan Hop, Former Minister of Information and Communication, Mr. Tran Duc Lai, Vice Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Mai Liem Truc, Former Deputy Minister of Post and Telecommunication, Mr. Dang Dinh Lam, Former Deputy Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Nguyen Trung Quynh, Vice Chairman of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board, and representatives of the functional departments under the Ministry of Information and Communication, Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board and some leaders of enterprises, etc.

With total land area of 8,000 m2, this 4 floor-building has total floor area of over 4000 m2. The usage items include the national DNS server room infrastructural system; the VNIX system; international standard data centers, auxiliary systems, network administration rooms, conference rooms, work and training rooms.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Tran Duc Lai said “The inauguration of the VNNIC Station marks the continued development of Vietnams Internet network and help to enhance state management capacity of the MIC. In addition, it helps to confirm the growing development of VNNIC after a similar station was just opened in Danang City in March 2012. He also expressed his desire that the investing and using the VNNIC station will promptly meet the demand, enhance state management capacity to the Internet domain addresses as well as strengthen internet use efficiency in the country from now on.
