JAPANESE GOVERNMENT MISSION VISITED HOA LAC HI-TECH PARK

For the purpose of discussion on policies on Japanese ODA Loan extended to Vietnam in Batch 2, FY 2011, on December 2nd, 2011, a dialogue on Japanese ODA Loans was held by the Governments of Vietnam and Japan at the headquarters of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam. The Mission of Japanese Government Mission including loan policy related ministries such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry arrived in Vietnam, together with other Japanese agencies like Japanese International Cooperation Agency, Japanese Embassy in Vietnam to discuss with Vietnamese side.

In the framework of agenda of the Mission, on December 1st, 2011, the Mission of Japanese Government led by Mr. Tadashi YOKOYAMA, Director of First Country Assistance Planning Division, International Cooperation Bureau under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, paid a working visit to Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park where one of key projects in the project shortlist loan in Batch 2, FY 2011 was being implemented. The objective of the trip is to find out information on formation process, development policies as well as infrastructure development plan and investment incentives at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park. Dr. Nguyen Van Lang, Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board chaired the meeting to work with the Mission.

After being introduced of overview, infrastructure, strategic location and investment incentives at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park at the meeting, Mr. Tadashi YOKOYAMA expressed his special interest in this key national project. Simultaneously, Mr. Tadashi YOKOYAMA raised many questions regarding investment incentives and Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park infrastructure development project.

After discussion, the Mission had a site visit to some places under construction at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park.
