The first-ever International Semiconductor Industry Exhibition held at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park
In the morning of November 7, 2024, the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition 2024 - SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 opened at the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi. The ceremony was attended by the Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment, the leader of the Global Semiconductor Association in Southeast Asia, ambassadors and representatives from several embassies in Vietnam, leaders from various localities, along with numerous businesses, organizations, research institutes, and universities involved in the semiconductor field.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung stated that Vietnam is at a pivotal point to deeply engage in the semiconductor industry. Vietnam’s goal is not only to participate more deeply in the global value chain but also to establish an advanced and attractive semiconductor industry ecosystem for the region and the world, enabling Vietnam to achieve self-reliance and sustainable development in this field.
Under the framework of the exhibition, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung and other delegates also witnessed the announcement of partnerships between the National Innovation Center and SEMI Southeast Asia, along with various partners, to promote the development of the semiconductor industry in Vietnam.
The Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition 2024 - SEMIExpo Vietnam 2024 is the first and largest international-scale semiconductor exhibition held in Vietnam. It is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, with the National Innovation Center (NIC) coordinating alongside the SEMI. Taking place in two days, November 7-8, the exhibition gathers more than 5,000 delegates and 100 booths from major technology partners in the semiconductor field, including Cadence, Qualcomm, Intel, Qorvo, Siemens, Tektronix, FPT, and Viettel.
