President Truong Tan Sang Visited HHTP

On April 3, 2014 President Truong Tan Sang paid a working visit to the Management Board of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, to listen to reports on the implementation of the Vietnam - Japan University project which is agreed between the two countries during the visit of the President to Japan.

Attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi People’s Committee and Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board as well.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Dai Duong, Chairman of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park Management Board had reported the President on the position of the project, progress of the clearance work as well as the difficulties in implementing ODA fund, building resettlement areas and completing basic infrastructure.

Emphasizing the significance of the formation of a center of education, the President stressed that the development of science and technology is an urgent requirement in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country. The leading countries of the world have been successful in the selection of advanced science and technology as a foundation for economic - social development. This is a great experience to Vietnam to absorb and study. As well as a number of foreign university was deployed in Vietnam , Vietnam - Japan University project deployed to acquire technological superiority of the Japan which with replicated across the country.

The President said that the Vietnam - Japan University Project is in favor of the Japanese Parliament with many advantages and incentives. If the project is successfully implemented, it will not only contribute to deepen the friendship relations of Vietnam - Japan, but also be the bright spot to attract investment in the field of education into Vietnam. President Truong Tan Sang asked ministries and Hanoi authorities to exert more effort in removing obstacle to complete the project on schedule as in the agreement between Vietnamese and Japanese government.
