Mobile Robot Challenge knockout round to be held by late August
Nine teams from Hanoi University of Technology, Hanoi University of Pedagogy, FPT University, University of Technology, Posts and Teleommunications Institute of Technology and Technology Center for Young Talents will compete in the Mobile Robot Challenge knockout round held on August 31 at 13th floor of FPT building in Cau Giay District.
The jury will select the best 4 teams for the final to be held in September.
In the knockout round, the teams will program their robots to perform applications of household chores. Basing on performances and exercises of all teams, the jury will select 4 teams for the final.
It is expected that the final will be run in September at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (Hanoi). Four teams will participate in three sections including startup, acceleration and finish.
Mr. Tran The Trung, Director of FPT Technology Research Institute as well as Chief of the organizers disclosed that the Mobile Robot Challenge 2013 aimed to create a play ground for students of Information Technology and Telecommunications to participate in.
Then the contest will also encourage young generation to study and research the latest technology trends. Through the competition, FPT also wished to boost the development of Cloud computing and Mobility on the platform of Smartoshin robot.
