A complex of research center and hi-tech product factory
On July 24th, 2013, HHTP Management Board conducted the Scientific Council meeting chaired by Mr. Tran Viet Thanh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology to assess the technologies and products of project named “A complex for researching, designing, manufacturing and producing telecommunication-information technology equipment and hi-tech products" to be invested by Viettel in HHTP. Members of the Council were independent experts from specialized departments of Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Information and Communication and leading experts in such industries as ICT, Automation Technology, Surface treatment Technology.
As presented at the meeting by Viettel, with a total investment of over VND 2.000 billions and 2000 high-quality manpower, the complex is expected to focus on research, development and manufacturing of products like:
1. Mobile devices: mobile phones, 3G, smart phones, tablets...
2. Information technology equipment: AIO Computer (All in One computer), laptops, office equipment...
3. End-user equipment of telecommunication infrastructure: Metro Ethernet Switch, 2+ ADSL Modem, Internet equipment pursuant to IPv4 and IPv6 standard; devices for converting optical signal of telecommunication systems, (Setup Box), etc.
4. Military communication equipment
5. Source equipment, solar battery technology related products.
6. Consuming and specializing equipment, etc
Making a conclusion at the meeting, Mr. Tran Viet Thanh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, on behalf of the Council, approved for Viettel Group to carry out next step in investment in HHTP after having a clear explanation for all comments of the Council’s members on schemes for software copyright issues installed on devices (smart phones, tablet and other systems); proportion of investment and scale of warehouse in molding manufacturing processes and plating equipment’s cover; specific human resources training plan and quality management system based on Vietnamese as well as International Standards; Environment Assessment Impact, etc.
