Cabinet chief welcomes Japanese special advisor

PM Nguyen Tan Dung on July 14 hosted a reception for Tsutomu Takebe, special advisor to the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

PM Dung highlighted that the extensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan have flourished and brought back practical benefits for peoples.  

The host leader highly appreciated the positive contributions of Mr. Tsutomu Takebe to the bilateral ties, hoping that the guest would continue to work to nurture cooperative activities and exchanges of the two countries.

He also proposed the two sides work closely to successfully realize the Viet Nam-Japan University building project, hold cultural and people-to-people exchange activities.

PM Dung suggested Mr. Tsutomu Takebe help to promote agricultural and fishery cooperation projects, encourage Japanese enterprises to participate in large-scale projects in Viet Nam and facilitate the reception of Vietnamese trainees and guest workers to Japan.

For his part, Mr. Tsutomu Takebe hailed the outcomes of talks between the Vietnamese and Japanese PMs during the host’s recent visit to Japan. “The Japan-Viet Nam relationship has come a long way and is deepening,” said the special advisor.

The guest leader also said that he would call on Japanese investors to partake in projects on Hoa Lac hi-tech park, the north-south high-speed railway and the Long Thanh international airport.

He promised to connect and promote the reception of Vietnamese high-tech agricultural trainees to Japan.

The special advisor affirmed that he would support cultural and people-to-people exchanges and convey the proposal of PM Dung on the planting of cherry blossom trees in Viet Nam to Japanese leaders upon his return./.
