ASPA is granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations
In July 2016, ASPA was granted special consultative status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The official letter was sent from Office for ECOSOC Support and Coordination Department of Economic and Social Affairs, United Nations to ASPA on 26th July, 2016, informing that ASPA is granted special consultative status. This status has many advantages as it gives the organization privileged access to UN mechanisms and increases the visibility of our work over the UN system. ASPA is now able to participate in debates, consultations, panel discussions and informal meetings at the United Nations level that are reserved to NGOs with ECOSOC status.
