Approval of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Feasibility Study conducted by JICA

On June 19th, 2009 H.E Hoang Van Phong, Minister of Science and Technology signed Decision No. 1027/QD-BKHCN on approval of “The Study for Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Feasibility Study in the Social Republic of Vietnam (1036ha)” conducted by Japan International Cooperation Agency. The Feasibility Study (FS) is the basis for Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Management Board (HHTP MB) to execute further procedure for Japanese ODA Loan application.

With the assistance from JICA in undertaking “The Study for Update of the Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Master Plan”, Prime Minister of Vietnam signed Decision No.621/QD-TTg dated May 23rd, 2008 on approval of updating master plan of Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park. Within the total land area of 1.058ha, JICA decided to undertake a detail review the feasibility study focusing on an area of 1.036ha. “The Study for Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park Feasibility Study was conducted by JICA Study Team from August 2008 to March 2009 under the spirit of Minutes of Meeting on May 15th 2009 between Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Construction and JICA. Final report of the FS was agreed upon by representatives from ministries and agencies at the meeting on February 9th 2009 and delivered to HHTP MB on April 2009.

Being one of the three priority project of the two Governments stated in the Vietnam – Japan Joint Statement, HHTP has been positively supported by relevant agencies from both countries. Following submission for approval of the FS, HHTP MB is now taking on continuous works so that HHTP project would be carried out the soonest.
