Creating favorable environment for start-ups
Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam expected that start-ups will enjoy the best conditions to start business in Viet Nam without setting up business overseas due to legal barriers.
Mr. Dam welcomed the initiative of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies on the 2019 Viet Nam Venture Summit. The event is expected to accelerate the creative startup community.
Statistics showed that startup enterprises have absorbed a sharp increase of capital over the last three years. The figures increased 49% in 2016 against 2015; up 42% in 2017 against 2016. In 2018, the capital grew 205% against 2017. Hence, the Deputy PM hoped that Viet Nam would witness impressive growth indicator in 2019.
According to Mr. Dam, stability, peace, constantly high growth rates, the spirits of innovation and creation have brought about new opportunities for every person to do business and uphold their values. Startups, enterprises, and investors find their business opportunities in Viet Nam and bring good things to the community, country, and the world.
The Government leader stressed the importance of perfecting the business environment among localities, Viet Nam and the world.
It is necessary to make breakthroughs in IT applications and attach more importance to education, science-technology in order to attract venture capital funds.
Deputy PM Dam hoped that the startup community in Viet Nam would connect with each other.
He also expected that start-ups will enjoy the best conditions to start business in Viet Nam without setting up business overseas due to legal barriers./.
