New role of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Board in Asian Science Park Association

From 24 to 28 November 2010, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Management Board’s senior leader delegation led by Mr. Pham Dai Duong – Vice Chairman attended the 14th IASP – ASPA Joint Conference held in Perth, Australia.

The Conference was attended by a lot of representatives from the science – technology park community worldwide.

The IASP – ASPA Annual Conference took place to play a crucial role in helping the science and technology parks in strengthening exchanges and identifying challenges as well as cooperation opportunities to further tighten sustainable, long-term partnership relations.



Especially at the conference, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park Board of Management was appointed as a Director in the Executive Board of Directors of the Asian Science Park Association. This is a new milestone to recognize the positive contributions and efforts of the Management Board of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park for developing and strengthening relationships, exchange and cooperation among members, the science parks in the Southeast Asia in particular and Asia in general.

The 14th IASP – ASPA Joint Conference ended successfully.

Within the framework of the conference, in addition to the speeches of reputable professors who have made a lot of contributions to science and technology in the world as Professor Stephen Hill, Asia – Pacific Ocean and regional Science Director under UNESCO, Professor Barry Marshall who received the Nobel Prize in biology in 1982 for his discovery of the Helicobacter bacterium causing ulcerative digestive system, one of the most common and difficult diseases of human beings at that time, many seminars were conducted by the participants to call for the cooperation and jointly plan the development directions aimed at helping accelerate technical innovation and create new technological achievements to be applied in the world.
