Abundant and High Quality Human Resources
Situated within an area concentrated with universities, research institutes, and technology enterprises, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park offers a favorable environment for integrating education, research, recruitment, and the development of high-quality human resources.
An Ecosystem for Education and Research at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park
A key advantage of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is the presence and rapid development of educational and scientific research institutions within the area.
Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) is expanding its university campus in Hoa Lac, covering an area of approximately 1,100 hectares. By the 2026–2027 academic year, it is expected that 17,166 students from 11 member institutions will be studying there, spanning fields such as technology, natural sciences, medicine and pharmacy, law, education, international studies, and interdisciplinary sciences. This young talent pool is well-positioned to engage in internships, research, and employment opportunities with technology companies located in the park.
Within Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, FPT University has established a campus spanning nearly 30 hectares, focusing on disciplines including information technology, artificial intelligence, data science, information security, digital design, business, and foreign languages. Its industry-linked educational model facilitates strong connections between students and real-world professional environments.
The University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) is currently developing a new campus within the Education and Training Zone of Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. The project aims to establish a complex of lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, dormitories, and research facilities that meet international standards, thereby contributing to the development of a scientific and technological workforce for the region.
Accessing Hanoi’s scientific and technological talent network
In addition to the human resources trained directly at Hoa Lac, investors can tap into a vast network of universities, academies, research institutes, experts, and engineers concentrated in Hanoi.
According to data released by the city, Hanoi is home to over 70% of the nation’s scientific and technological organizations, universities, and research institutes, as well as 82% of its laboratories—including 14 key national laboratories. Furthermore, more than 65% of the country’s leading scientists live and work in the city.
The synergy between educational institutions, research institutes, and businesses at Hoa Lac fosters the development of human resources in sectors prioritized by the city, including:
Artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity;
Semiconductor microchips and digital technology;
Biotechnology and biomedicine;
Robotics, automation, and smart manufacturing;
Green technology, advanced materials, and clean energy.
Aligning with the human resource needs of businesses
A large talent pool does not automatically guarantee that the specific requirements of every project will be met. For highly specialized fields—such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, or research and development—businesses should proactively define their needs regarding headcount, areas of expertise, language proficiency, and practical skills.
The Management Board of Hanoi’s Hi-Tech and Industrial Zones is focused on strengthening the connections between the government, academic institutions, research institutes, and the business sector. Support is provided for discussing recruitment needs, customized training programs, internships, joint research, and skills enhancement for the workforce.
The Management Board is committed to partnering with investors throughout the process of assessing human resources, connecting with training institutions, recruiting experts, and developing human resource strategies tailored to the specific technology, scale, and timeline of each project.
