Foreign experts not subject to 14-day mandatory quarantine

Viet Nam has lifted 14-day mandatory quanratine for foreign experts, investors, managers and diplomats entering the country for less than 14 days, according to the latest instructions issued by the Ministry of Health.

However, all entrants shall have to strictly and fully comply with the country’s regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control, including wearing face mask to prevent spread of COVID-19.

Those who enter Viet Nam for diplomatic and official purposes must have international insurance papers or organizations that invite them will bear all treatment expenses if they contract COVID-19 in Viet Nam.

Since September 1, incoming travellers shall have to pay for quarantine costs but those who come for diplomatic missions are exempted from the fees.

As of 6:02 pm on September 2, Viet Nam had 1,046 COVID-19 cases, including 746 recoveries and 34 deaths./.
