Synchronized Technical Infrastructure at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park

Developed with ODA funding from the Government of Japan, the technical infrastructure at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park provides a favorable foundation for research, production, and technology development projects.

Technical Infrastructure Supporting High-Tech Projects

The general technical infrastructure in the area north of Thang Long Boulevard within Hoa Lac High-Tech Park has been developed in a synchronized manner, encompassing transportation, power supply, water supply, rainwater drainage, wastewater collection and treatment, telecommunications, and landscaping.

These infrastructure facilities are designed to meet the operational requirements of high-tech enterprises, research and development centers, training institutions, and manufacturing projects that demand high-quality technical services. The existing infrastructure largely satisfies the operational needs of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park and continues to be reviewed and upgraded to accommodate new investment projects.

Capacity for Power Supply, Water Supply, and Wastewater Treatment

The core technical infrastructure of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park includes:

Power Supply: Electricity is provided via 110kV transformer stations. The Hoa Lac 110kV transformer station features three 63 MVA transformers, while the CNC2 110kV transformer station includes two 63 MVA transformers; together, these enhance the capacity and stability of the regional power system.
Water Supply: The water supply system has a designed capacity of approximately 43,000 m³ per day, drawing from the Song Da – Hanoi clean water supply system. Wastewater collection and treatment: The wastewater collection system is connected to two treatment plants with a combined design capacity of approximately 42,000 m³/day.
Rainwater drainage: A drainage network has been developed in conjunction with the transport infrastructure and functional zones to facilitate water runoff and environmental protection.
Telecommunications and digital infrastructure: A telecommunications system is in place to support data transmission, internet access, and communication needs for businesses. The Hoa Lac High-Tech Park continues to prioritize the development of digital infrastructure, 5G networks, and IoT platforms to support manufacturing, research, and smart management.
The actual supply capacity at any specific location depends on the requirements of the individual project, connection feasibility, and the technical方案 (plan) agreed upon with the service provider.

Continuous upgrades to meet investor needs

In addition to the existing operational systems, the Hanoi municipal government and the Management Board are collaborating with power, water, and telecommunications utility providers to enhance service capacity. This initiative aims to meet the requirements of projects in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centers, biotechnology, robotics, and smart manufacturing.

Future development strategies focus on stable energy infrastructure, advanced digital infrastructure, smart management, and efficient resource utilization—gradually aligning with requirements for green energy, clean production, and sustainable development.

The Management Board of Hanoi High-Tech Parks and Industrial Zones is committed to coordinating with relevant authorities and infrastructure providers to assist investors in site surveys, identifying utility requirements (electricity, water, and telecommunications), and developing connection plans tailored to the scale and technology of each specific project.
