VN becomes Japan’s important investment destination

Over 60% of Japanese enterprises revealed that they want to expand business operation in Viet Nam as they see the country as an important investment destination.

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) yesterday published a report on business performance of Japanese enterprises in Viet Nam. As much as 557 Japanese enterprises were involved in the survey.

Under the survey, nearly 60% of respondents reported profits in Viet Nam, thus, 63.9% tends to expand operation in Viet Nam.

Nearly 50% of enterprises were upbeat about high growth rates.

Under the new report, Viet Nam ranked third among 15 countries with low labor costs. Over a half of respondents praised political and social stability, market scale, and prospects for growth in Viet Nam.

However, Viet Nam was left behind in language barrier. Viet Nam was positioned at third among 15 countries in uncompleted and untransparent legal system.

Japanese enterprises also pinned high hope on the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and the signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP)./.
